I'm an Australian ecopreneur building sustainability apps for climate action. After completing my Master of Environment in sustainable food systems, I'm trying to live sustainably while helping others do the same through the tools I'm building.

Me and Nikola in Zagreb.
Andrea and Nikola in Zagreb.

This blog documents my journey building these apps in public, sharing the process, failures, and small wins as I learn to code (starting with Python) and create tools that might actually help people take meaningful climate action. Since our governments seem more interested in protecting fossil fuel profits than our planet's future, I figure we need to build the solutions ourselves.

What you'll find here

Right now, I'm working on two main projects: a personal sustainability tracker and a climate-focused news platform. Both are still in development, but I share progress updates and learnings along the way.

You'll also find my academic work archived here, including essays and research from my university days, which I'm keeping as a record. They're mostly for me, but feel free to read them if you're interested in sustainable food systems and environmental policy.

Then there are the old posts from when this blog was called Destination Europe. These are personal entries from my time living in Paris and later as a digital nomad around Europe. I'm no longer travel blogging, but those posts remain as a reminder of a different chapter, one I sometimes regret ending, to be honest.

The community I'm building

I'm looking to connect with people who want to live more sustainably and take real climate action, not just talk about it. If you're frustrated with the pace of change and want to do something about it, or if you're interested in the intersection of technology and sustainability, this might be the place for you.

The best way to follow along is through my newsletter, where I share more regular updates and thoughts that don't make it into full blog posts.
