Great Train Journeys: Milan to Bern

Switzerland, the land of mountains, lakes and chocolate. As much as I would have loved to have stuck around to experience all of these things, I was only passing through Switzerland as I took the train from Milan to Bern before hopping on a train to Paris. So on this occasion I missed out on sampling some famous Swiss chocolate but I did get to admire the incredible scenery which flashed before my eyes.

Snow capped mountains, cute villages and immense lakes make this train journey one of the most beautiful in Europe.
