July Goals: Budapest Edition
Ten weeks into what was supposed to be a quick European trip, I'm desperately trying to tie up loose ends in Budapest so I can finally cut all ties with the city I used to call home.

I can’t believe it’s been 10 weeks since I left Australia. This was supposed to be a quick trip but I feel so comfortable travelling around Europe I don’t want to leave. I quickly slipped back into ‘digital nomad’ mode and couldn’t be happier.
What I’m not so happy about is being stuck in Budapest, even if I know it's temporary. I have a bunch of unresolved tax/banking/errands to take care of from when I was living here. Boring stuff but it needs to be done so I can sever ties with Budapest for good.
July Goals
I thought I would start sharing my goals in my monthly round-up posts, both travel and life goals. Hopefully this will keep me accountable, although I know I’m notorious for not following through on things. I am trying to change!

Via Egnatia
Speaking of not following through on things, I haven’t posted much on my Via Egnatia hike. The reason for that is I’m going to give it another go at the end of summer. I was terribly underprepared for the hike, both physically and mentally. It was much more difficult than I expected and the lack of infrastructure was frustrating. But now I know what to expect I want to try again and at least complete the missing Albanian sections.

To help make the hike easier I’m working on getting fitter and losing weight. I'm doing regular HIIT workouts and walking at least 15,000 steps per day. I haven’t been able to weigh myself but my clothes are significantly looser which is a good start.
New City Guides
Last month I published guides to Kotor, Montenegro and Sibenik and Krka National Park in Croatia. I know some bloggers can pump out posts daily but I find writing guides extremely time-consuming. I hope you find them useful as I’d like to write more of these types of posts.

I also published a photo essay on Dubrovnik, Croatia which I’d love you to share if you like it.
Coffee Guides
This week I’m going to publish my first ever coffee guide. If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know I’m slightly obsessed with coffee. This is a new obsession with me, less than a year ago I hated coffee but somehow that all changed and coffee is my new passion. Let me know if finding good coffee is something you’re interested in when travelling as these guides are loads of fun to ‘research’.

Reading Goals
My final goal for July is to get back into reading. My Goodreads goal is to read 24 books this year and I’ve only read three. Before I left Australia I started reading Jewel’s autobiography (ad). I was never into her music but I became fascinated with her story when I saw her interviewed on Gary Vaynerchuk’s show. I’m halfway through her book which I plan to finish this month.
June Travel Plans
I’ll be in Budapest until the middle of July and then I’m undecided where to head next. The weather is hot and humid in Central Europe at the moment but it’s busy and expensive on the coast. I’m thinking about Minsk as they have a new 5-day visa on arrival program. Do you know anyone who has been? Posts to share?

Popular on Instagram
Not surprisingly all my photos from Montenegro were popular on Instagram. Kotor is such a stunning destination, I’m pushing everyone I know to visit!
