Many museums in Paris are free on the first Sunday of the month. I often plan to go then forget! Typical! Last Sunday, however, I made it to the Musee de l’Orangerie located in the Jardin des Tuileries, just off Place de la Concorde.

I’ve always wanted to go to this museum, which is famous for it’s collection of Monet’s Water Lilies, but it was closed when I first lived in Paris and only re-opened recently. It’s a very small museum, we saw everything in around 30 minutes, although it was closing so we did rush a bit. Other artists of note include Renoir, Cezanne, and Picasso.

I’m not big on visiting museums but this is worth a quick visit.
